Welcome to Florida – also known as the sunshine state of America, and it is no wonder why. If you are low on vitamin D, this is the place for you! And it is almost impossible not to include Miami on the list of places to visit when going to Florida.

Miami is the ultimate vacation paradise with miles and miles of sandy beaches, palm trees, attractions and relaxed Caribbean vibes.

What to experience

There are a whole lot of things to do in Miami, it can therefore seem unmanageable to navigate around all the experiences. Which is why we have collected a few must-experience(s) for you to explore on your trip.

Ocean Drive: this colorful boulevard is one of the most famous boulevards in the world, and it is found in South Beach. It is known by its eye-catching buildings and shopping stores, and it stretches alongside the ocean – hence the name. Definitely a must see!

Lincoln Road: besides Ocean Drive, this road is one of the best places to go shopping. It is one of the oldest streets in America, as it was built in 1960. You will find over 2000 stores, art galleries and cozy restaurants.

Venetian Pool: southwest of Downtown Miami in Coral Gables you will find the biggest fresh water pool in America. It is a wonderful oasis with room for more than three million liters of fresh water.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens: this beautiful Italian villa used to belong to the millionaire James Deering, and is now made into a museum. Within the many rooms of the villa there are European antiques, sculptures, paintings and more. In the garden you will find captivating Italian and French fountains, sculptures, lakes and more.

Wynwood: this artistic part of the city is known for its impressive street art and graffiti on most buildings. The city has transformed within the last 10 years, from a run-down area to a place many people enjoy visiting.

Where to live

Miami is filled with a lot of different amazing parts, however the majority of tourists still chooses to stay in Miami Beach. Although it is a great place to stay, most people are not aware that Miami Beach is not actually a part of Miami. However, we have chosen to include it in our guide.

South Beach: this neighborhood in Miami Beach is definitely the most popular place to stay without comparisons. Everything you generally associate with Miami is right here!

North Beach: this is a great alternative to South Beach, and when talking distance, it is not far from it either. This is a great place to stay if you are traveling with family, and the prices are generally on the lower end of the scale.

Mid-Beach: between South and North Beach, conveniently you will find Mid-Beach. This neighborhood is known to be more luxurious than the others, and it is a great place if you have a little bit more to spend and want a little bit of everything.

Downtown Miami: this is the business district of Miami. As most business districts, it is filled with skyscrapers, parks, museums and historical buildings. If you are looking for a pulsating and fast-paced place to stay, this would be a good contender.

Coconut Grove: this is one of the oldest and greenest parts of Miami. Also, it is one of the most luxurious and covered areas of the city. This is a great choice if you want to get away from the more touristy areas, but still want to be close to the ocean.

Little Havana: this is amongst some of the most popular parts of Miami. It is home to Cuban immigrants, who love to express and share the Latin culture. When you are there, it feels exactly like standing in the real Havana – if you don’t believe us, then go see for yourself!

So, now you can go and experience all these places and attractions that Miami has to offer for yourself. Remember to enjoy all the new impressions, and take in every minute of it. And then, when you come back home, with a bag full of memories, we are here to help you capture and preserve them on posters.
